“We had an amazing experience, to see what it takes to get these shots, Jon is exceptional at what he does. We learned so much and had a lot of fun in the process. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.”-Lisa
You’re looking for a photographer who will capture your dancer's grace and beauty.
My clients book me for my ability to ‘get’ their dancer, understand them and create something different and beautiful.
They love unique images and are excited to celebrate their dancer's skill.
You’re looking for a photographer who will make you al feel feel at ease and comfortable – and that’s exactly what I do.
Creative and fun!
My love of creating art is what got me into dance photography. I’ve been a photographer for 40 years amongst other things, and it’s not really a job , I just love doing it.
My photography style is creative and relaxed. The best thing about being a dance photographer is that I get to meet talented dancers, get creative with them and show them how amazing they are.
Make it stand out.
The shoot is about your dancer not me!
But sometimes its good to know a bit about who you are meeting!
I live in a slightly messy (books and 'stuff' everywhere) art deco house with my wife and best friend Sue ( an art teacher) children Bryony and Finlay, they are grown up but stay for extended periods every now and then! Plus Flash the Wonder Dog our cocker spaniel who is the one that found the studio!!
My favourite things in the world are laughing and dancing, and when I’m not shooting you’ll find me walking the dog , reading and possibly asleep on the sofa.
I couldn’t live without family, art and books. I spend a lot of time at home with my favourite people and nothing makes me happier than having a drink and a laugh with friends and family.
AND YES- I did used to dance - Irish dancing, hard and soft shoe, Munster style. So I do know the terror of forgetting your steps in a comp, then clearing your mind and it just flows again.
